Dr. G.C. Tan - Chairman
An engineer by training, he joined the Singapore government civil service and served in many key positions such as Principal Private Secretary to the Prime Minister, Permanent Secretary in the Ministry of Communications and Information, Ministry of Environment and Ministry of Home Affairs, and also as Chief Executive Officer of the Housing and Development Board.
He is currently Chairman of Temasek Life Sciences Laboratory, as well as several other companies.
K.V. Rao
A masters in International Business from the Indian Institute of Foreign Trade, New Delhi, India, he has over 23 years of senior management experience in leading enterprises in the FMCG, Healthcare, Infocomm, and International Trade sectors.
KV Rao was formerly a Director at International Enterprise Singapore (formerly Trade Development Board of Singapore), and had led the Capability Development initiatives of the Board which helped local enterprises to internationalize.
He has proven strengths in corporate strategy and in directing international growth and development of enterprises. He is also experience in setting up JVs, strategic alliances in developing countries and in building global businesses.
P.K. Ghose
He was the executive vice president and chief financial officer of the company responsible for treasury, accounting, taxation, strategic finance, secretarial, and information technology.
He started his career with Tata Steel in 1973 and has held several important positions in the company before becoming the chief financial controller (corporate) of the company in 2001. He was elevated as the chief of strategic finance of Tata Steel later during that year. After a successful stint at Jamshedpur, Mr Ghose joined TCL as the CFO in 2002.
Mr Ghose was awarded the CFO of the Year (cost optimization) in 2003, and CFO of the year in 2006 for ‘Deal of the Year’.
Mr Ghose, 58, is a graduate in commerce and a member of the Institute of Cost and Works Accountants (ICWA) of India and the Institute of Company Secretaries of India. He is also an alumnus of the Advanced International General Management programme of CEDEP, France.
Sim Gaik Heok
She is the VP - Treasury and Finance of Wuthelam Holdings Pte Limited and sits on the boards of a number of investee companies.
She graduated in 1990 with a Bachelor of Commerce degree from the University of Canterbury, New Zealand and holds a Chartered Accountant membership with the New Zealand Institute of Chartered Accountants.
She was involved in a wide range of financial accounting assignments and audits for almost 6 years from January 1990 to August 1995 in KPMG Auckland.
From August 1995 to November 2000, she held the position fo Financial Controller in Gulf Harbour Holdings Limited, a property development company located in North Auckland. The activities of the Gulf Harbour group of companies comprise of residentail property development, marina development and operations, town centre development and leasing, hotel operations, development of golf course, country club and sale of golf memberships. The group was owned by Mr Goh Cheng Liang and some of his associates, until the assets were fully sold in 2001.
Peter Chia
An engineer by training, he has years of experience in technology management especially on IP, business development and operation.
He is currently Chief Operating Officer of Temasek Life Sciences Laboratory, Director of several technology start-ups, and also, member of Temasek Holding's Life Science Investment Team.
