Sunny George Verghese, Chairman
Sunny George Verghese is the Co-founder & Group CEO of Olam International Limited and is responsible for strategic planning, business development and overall management of the Olam group of companies worldwide. Headquartered in Singapore and listed on the SGX-ST, Olam currently ranks among the top 30 largest primary listed companies in Singapore in terms of market capitalisation. In 2016, Fortune magazine recognised Olam at #23 in its ‘Change the World’ list.
In 27 years, Sunny and his team have built this business to S$20.6 billion in Sales Revenues for FY2016. Today, Olam operates in 70 countries, delivering various agricultural raw materials and food ingredients across 16 platforms to more than 23,000 customers worldwide and employs around 70,000 people.
Sunny is currently the Chairman of the World Business Council for Sustainable Development (WBCSD), Chairman of the Board of the Human Capital Leadership Institute (HCLI), Singapore and also Chairman of JOil (S) Pte Ltd. Sunny served on the Board of International Enterprise Singapore from 2002 to 2013, and was its Chairman from 2008 to 2013. He was on the Board of Trustees of National University of Singapore from 2009 to 2013.
Sunny was awarded the Best Chief Executive for large cap companies in the Singapore Corporate Awards (SCA) in 2011 and was named ‘Outstanding Chief Executive for 2006’ in the Singapore Business Awards (SBA) and Singapore’s Ernst & Young Entrepreneur of the Year in 2008. He was also conferred The Public Service Medal by the Government of Singapore in August 2010.
Sunny holds a post graduate management degree from the Indian Institute of Management Ahmedabad (IIMA) and has also completed the Advanced Management Program (AMP) from the Harvard Business School.
K.V. Rao
A masters in International Business from the Indian Institute of Foreign Trade, New Delhi, India, he has over 23 years of senior management experience in leading enterprises in the FMCG, Healthcare, Infocomm, and International Trade sectors.
KV Rao was formerly a Director at International Enterprise Singapore (formerly Trade Development Board of Singapore), and had led the Capability Development initiatives of the Board which helped local enterprises to internationalize.
He has proven strengths in corporate strategy and in directing international growth and development of enterprises. He is also experience in setting up JVs, strategic alliances in developing countries and in building global businesses.
Ranjeev Lodha
Ranjeev Lodha is Vice President & Group Corporate Controller at Tata Chemicals Limited. He joined Tata Chemicals in 2010 as Vice President -Finance. Effective January, 2013 he has moved to the Controlling function prior to which he was responsible for the Treasury, Investor Relations and Strategic Finance functions at Tata Chemicals Limited.
Prior to joining Tata Chemicals, in 2010, Ranjeev was associated with Mahindra & Mahindra as Vice President - Group Accounts where he was responsible for financial reporting and the groups' transition to IFRS. He was also the Finance lead for Project Harmony - the groups' SAP initiative of getting 44 of the operating entities on a common process.
Ranjeev had worked closely with the Fertiliser business of Tata Chemicals during his previous stint in the company from 1991 - 2007.
Ranjeev, a Chartered Accountant, is also a member of the CMA Institute, Australia.
Jer Ren Lee
Lee Jer Ren is a Director of Yenom Holdings Pte Ltd and its associated companies. He joined Yenom Holdings in 2008 and he currently oversees the Group’s Private Equity portfolio.
Jer Ren graduated with a Bachelor of Commerce degree from University of Melbourne.
Law Heng Dean
Director, Sustainability and Institutional Relations, TEMASEK INTERNATIONAL PTE LTD
Mr Law Heng Dean started his career with the Ministry of Foreign Affairs (MFA). He spent 9 years with MFA and was posted as a First Secretary at the Singapore Embassy in Jakarta from 2005-2009.
Heng Dean joined Temasek in 2011 and is currently with the Sustainability & Stewardship Group.
Heng Dean has a B.Sc. in Accounting and Finance from the London School of Economics and an MBA from INSEAD.
